What is traction battery? 

Traction battery id electro-chemical source of the energy which releases electric energy in controlled way. All types of  batteries have positive and negative panels which are dipped in electrolyte within the box.

Lead traction batteries armored production are designed for all types of transport vehicles with electric power( forklifts, carts, water transport vehicles, etc).  They have other industrial purpose and appliance.

Quality production is one of the key advantages of the batteries  "HEAVY HORSE". In production of these batteries high technological materials and technology is used. After each technological operation quality control is implemented  which guarantees high reliability of the batteries. In armored traction batteries tube electrodes are charged with active substance in a shape of suspension, which  disqualifies  wastage of active substance. That is important factor in storage working conditions, where loaders and carts are operating on uneven surfaces, across sills, etc.

High technological production of batteries is supported by modern labaratory, where all existing and accurate examination, measuring and analysis are made.

Electro laboratory is equipped for examination where is determined accuracy with all world standards, like  ES, DIN, MEK, VAZ, GOST, FORD, FIAT...

Batteries also have highly resistance to corrosion of lead electrodes for discharge of electricity.  There are several ways to charge battery: for work in cold, moderate and tropical climate.

Traction armored batteries "HEAVY HORSE" are mainly used in loaders Bulgarian production: Balcancar, Dimex and other, because they completely match-up with their AKB capacity from 165 do 560 A/h. Factory produces batteries which can be ordered with specification and size capacity up to 1200 A/h.

Traction batteries, made in Battery Factory Sombor by special order can be used in transport vehicles of domestic, European  (Linde, Rocla, Stell, Jungheinrich) and Asian  (Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Daewoo, Komatsu) production.

Traction battery - how its made and how its used.

Battery is made of orderly connected panels, located in a metal container with acid resistant protection.  As per need and demand of the buyer, battery are manufactured in two ways: with two or four pole hatches with hard label of polarity ”+” i “-“.      

Feeder which goes through lid is vacuumed with rubber fixation. In a central opening of the lid, ventilation pocket is mounted which function is to free gases H2 and O2, while battery is working.Construction of the battery alows easy and effective replacement of the faulty cells. While servicing the battery we recommend to the buyer to use apropriate labels given in a catalog.

As per buyers requirements battery can be made:

• with conical exit, in agreement with DIN 43 596
• other type, agreed with buyers needs     

Battery capacity depends of the capacity of the blocks(cells) from which is made. Traction batteries which are produced are from 165 to 1200Ah and are per recomendation  DIN 43567, IEC 254-1-83.      

Nominal battery capacity through 5 hour discharge regime  in  u Ah-C5. Discharge electricity Ir=0,2xC5(A).      

All batteries armored production are made of sets of negative and positive panels, which are divided with separators. Composite is positioned in a plastic box, enclosed with plastic lid which is thermodynamically glued. Blocks are manufactured with  pole hatches in 2  different version with hard and soft connection between the poles when connected to the battery.

Battery choice

To determine which battery, following needs to known:

• engine power
  
• voltage
• time of continuous work - working cycles

If for forklift or other transport vehicle powered with engine 2.4KW and voltage 22V, working cycles in relay is 5h, than choice of batteries is as followed:

2400x5=12000Wh

Capacity Ah for this energy and with named voltage is:

12000/22=545.45Ah

Choice of panels and batteries depends of the location space. Capacity from 545.45Ah can be achieved with panels:

8 P 70
7 P 80 

and choice of panels depends of the space location , keeping in mind requested battery voltage from  22V.
