Ultima Heavy Duty series is designed with special requirements for the commercial vehicles market(from taxi, pick-up, buses to agricultural and industrial vehicles). Commercial vehicles beside good basic performances needs durability in heavy working environments(longer working life and greater vibration durability).

Commercial vehicles with extra equipment(air-con, navigation system, cooling chambers, DVD, radio, tv etc.) requires batteries with increased starter performances, reserved capacity and higher number of deep discharging and charging(cycling's).

Construction of these batteries means installing deeper robust panels which are protected with special type of separators overladed with glass insulator wool. This way panel is mechanically protected as well as in constant contact with electrolytes which are absorbed in a glass insulated wool. Beside the thickness of the panel, specially chosen alloy which is used for casting panel holders guarantees higher of corrosion of the holder and active substance. Quality casted linkers reduce inner  resistance  which increases starter ability.   Fixed cells at the bottom of the housing with hot-melt and side fixed plastic spacers with types >200Ah secures complete stabilization of the cells and their vibration resistance through exploitation. 

Specially prepared active substances  which includes specially chosen additives which give electrodes good starting, high level of electricity conduction and after long discharge, highly mechanical and corrosive resistance which is necessary for reaching good capacity reserve, longer working life as for higher cycles number of charging and discharging.  Ultima Heavy Duty batteries are batteries without maintenance, which means the water consumption is lowered to the standard level  EN 50342 for batteries without maintenance. In certain vehicles and with correct using condition, doesn't need maintenance in terms of adding water. Higher consumption of water can be caused through faulty charging system at the vehicle(overloading), constant inefficient charging of the battery and similar etc.

Heavy Duty battery capacity  72-97Ah are specially designed for taxi and passenger vehicles with higher diesel power engines. Because of the higher resilience with vibrations, they are recommended for agricultural and industrial machines which are operating on uneven surfaces and in heavy working environments. With standard batteries, longterm vibrations and hard working conditions causes separation of the substances from the holder which consequently produce loss of the battery functionality in a short period of time. For that reason they are exchanged with these special type of battery.
